The Outdoor-Growset is especially suited for self-flowering, compact outdoor plants that automatically enter their flowering phase and develop easily in outdoor environments.

With their manageable development period and compact growth habit, they are ideal for balconies, terraces, and private gardens.

Self-flowering plants automatically begin their flowering and maturation phase after a certain period of growth. Unlike many other plant types, this developmental step does not depend on day length or specific light cycles.

As a result, they typically complete their entire life cycle relatively quickly and require less control of lighting or other external factors. For this reason, they are generally considered easy to manage and are often appreciated by beginners as well as by people with limited time or space.

The outdoor growset can be used without any special prior experience.

Care requirements are minimal. A bright, sunny location and consistent, moderate watering are generally all that’s needed.

The key is not to overwater. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings. A simple rule of thumb: if the planter feels noticeably lighter than after the previous watering, it’s time to water again.

A short rain shower is generally not a problem for outdoor plants – what matters is the growth stage:

Vegetative phase:
Rain can even be beneficial at this stage. The plant is naturally watered, and fresh rainwater can support healthy growth. The key is to ensure proper drainage so excess water can run off and no waterlogging occurs. That’s why the Outdoor-Growset is delivered without a saucer.

Flowering phase:
More caution is needed here. Dense flowers are sensitive to prolonged moisture, as this can lead to mold. During hours of rain or heavy downpours (e.g. thunderstorms), it is advisable to place the plant in a sheltered spot (e.g. under a roof or cover). After the rain, the plant should be able to dry well (gently shaking off excess water if needed) and be kept in a well-ventilated position.
